4/8/2022 - Asa L. Case

Your Silent Neighbor
by David K. Leff
Canton Town Historian

A lifelong resident of Canton, Asa L. Case (1860-1936) died in the house where he was born.  He was a farmer and also did printing work. Case married Annette Pyat of Farmington in 1884.  She died in 1923, but their two sons, a daughter, and several grandchildren survived him.

Case was a charter member of Cawasa Grange and received a 50-year pin not long before his death. He was also a member of the Mountain County Pomona Grange.

The funeral was held at the Huggins “undertaking parlors” in Collinsville.

Asa L. Case is buried in the Canton Springs Cemetery on Canton Springs Road.
