6/8/2014 - Go Take A Hike!!! Canton Land Trust Events

Canton Land Trust Hikes:

Bird and Wildlife Walk: Sunday, June 8th: 9:00 - 10:30 am

Mary Conklin Preserve, Canton Land Conservation Trust (144 Indian Hill Road, Canton, CT). All ages are welcome for this leisurely hike through fields and woodlands in search of birds and other wildlife. We’ll stop frequently to look for birds and learn about the interconnections of the Connecticut ecosystem. Bring binoculars and a bird book if you have them. Wear comfortable walking shoes and the usual protection from bugs for spring in New England. Leader: Sarah Faulkner. Information: sffaulkner@comcast.net.

Trailblazer's Hike Details: Sunday, June 8 1pm-3pm

Sun, Wind, and Woodlands Trail.  Calling all Trailblazers for our last hike of the 2013-2014 season. This hike is being offered in conjunction with CT Trails Day weekend. We will meet at 1 pm at the Sun, Wind, and Woodlands parking lot. We will hike the Sun, Wind, and Woodlands trail together and then continue to the Capen Cabin where we will enjoy cookies and conversation at our end-of-the-season Trailblazers gathering. We welcome you to stay for the Connecticut Land Conservation Trust Annual meeting and cookout which will begin at 4pm at the Capen Cabin.
