4/5/2014 - *Library Collecting Donations For Annual Spring Book Sale

Canton Public Library Collecting Donations For Annual Spring Book Sale

In spite of the un-spring-like weather, it's not too early to begin our spring cleaning and find new homes for our unwanted books! The Friends of the Canton Public Library are collecting materials for their one-day, April 12 book sale. The Friends are looking for donations of relatively new (or good used), adult, teen, and children's books, CDs and DVDs for the sale, the proceeds of which will benefit the library.

All materials must be in good, clean, saleable condition. That means no highlighting, underlining or torn pages, so please examine your donations first! The following will NOT be accepted: vinyl records, VHS tapes, cassette tapes, magazines, textbooks, condensed books, encyclopedias, or Time-Life series.

To donate, please bring your offerings to the library during normal library hours, which are Monday-Thursday, 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and Friday-Saturday, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The deadline to drop off donations is Saturday, April 5. (Book Sale hours are: Saturday, April 12, 10:00 AM. to 3:00 PM in rooms F, C, E of the Canton Community Center). Canton Public Library is located at 40 Dyer Avenue in Canton. For more information please call the library, visit our website, or email illcatn@libraryconnection.info.
