2/21/2014 - *Snow and Ice Accumulation Caution
Temperatures will rise above freezing during the next few days, providing some melting of the deep snowpack. However, rainfall will add additional weight to already snow covered roofs. Residents are urged to monitor their roofs closely to ensure the added weight has not affected structural stability. Appropriate personnel should clear roofs of snow and ice to alleviate the added weight. Residents should use caution when clearing snow and take all necessary precautions to ensure safety. Residents can contact the Building Department at 860-693-7854 with questions and should call 911 with imminent building stability emergencies.
