Holiday Baskets Available to Families of Deaf or Hard of Hearing Persons

The New England Center for the Deaf, Inc. a 501 C 3 non-profit organization that provides comprehensive services to the Deaf, hard of hearing and their families, is offering a special Holiday treat to families in need.

This year, they are organization holiday baskets for distribution to the needy families in Connecticut who have a Deaf or hard of hearing individual in their household.

Applications for baskets are available in the Senior & Social Services office for Canton families who wish to partake in this program.  The application is brief and our staff and interns are available to assist with this as well.

Applications must be completed by, and returned to the Center for the Deaf, by Thursday December 19th.  Senior & Social Services staff has the ability to send in these documents securely to the Center and we would be happy to do this to any families who want this benefit if needed or wanted.

Families who have an interest should contact the Social Workers at Canton Senior & Social Services at 860.693.5811 or stop in to pick up an application.

Canton Senior & Social Services is dedicated to working hard to ensure the health, wellness and well-being of all the residents of the town of Canton.  Our office oversees all programming within and associated with the Senior Center, while administering all federal and state programs and assisting in the application and follow-up process for all resources made available to clients.
