10/9/2013 - *Library/Community Partial Roof Replacement Notice

 October 9, 2013

Re:   Notice of Start of Construction
         Partial Roof Replacement

Library / Community Center

Construction activities for the partial roof replacement at the Library & Community Center have been initiated.   These construction activities will continue for the next 3 to 4 weeks.  Most the activities will occur on the roof of the building.  The replacement and installation of roof drains, however, will also impact some of the interior areas.

The contractor for the project, The Imperial Company, Inc. will install rubbish containers to accept roof demolition materials at two locations during the removal of the existing roofing materials.  Pedestrian and vehicular traffic using the facility should avoid these areas and use alternate entrances as required.

The availability of parking will also be impacted during completion of the project.  Some of the parking areas along the perimeter of the parking lot will be used for storage of roofing materials, placement of rubbish containers, and to provide buffer areas for safe removal of the existing roofing materials.  Certain parking spaces and sidewalks adjacent to the library will not be available during certain construction activities for the safety of the public.  We would recommend that you avoid these areas over the next several weeks.

The contractor will also be operating construction equipment in the parking area during completion of the work.  This may result in minor delays in leaving or entering the parking facility.

We appreciate your patience during the completion of the project.
