Tuesday, March 12, the Cherry Brook Garden Club of Canton presents a lecture by Elaine Widmer discussing "Garden Photography" at the Canton Community Center, 40 Dyer Avenue, Canton. Elaine is an award-winning photographer who has lived in West Hartford for the past 12 years. After retiring from the corporate arena in 2007, her focus has been her two passions: gardening and photography. Her love of gardening led Elaine to photography and nature has continued to influence her images. She finds her inspiration in the beauty of a garden, in the perfection and imperfections of a flower, in both sweeping and intimate landscapes, and in the natural world. She is passionate about developing her ‘eye’ and her technical abilities. Elaine’s images have been selected by numerous juried shows. She has been published in commercial catalogs and most recently in the book Hartford, New England’s Rising Star.
