7/17/2012 - *Art Exhibit at Town Hall - Jim Koplar
New Works by Jim Koplar
July / August 2012 at the Canton Town Hall, 1st and 2nd Floors

Collinsville artist Jim Koplar returns to the halls and walls of the Canton Town Hall for the months of July and August.  This show will feature many recently completed works and include a range of subject matter and different mediums.  From still life to landscape and beyond, this exhibit should reach across a broad range of tastes and interests.  Works can be viewed during regular Town Hall business hours.  You can also go to jimkoplar.com to view the latest website info or follow Jim on Facebook at James Koplar.

Mr. Koplar was previously a major presence in the former Gallery 101 in Collinsville until owner Doug Tubach decided to close the gallery in December after four years of hard work to stay afloat in the tough economy.  While searching for a new location, Mr. Koplar found an available space in nearby Avon, Ct and has recently acquired a studio at the Farmington Valley Arts Center where he continues to conduct individual lessons in drawing and painting as well as offering a gallery of work for sale.  Please feel free to stop by Studio 5A on the lower level most Fridays and Saturdays or by calling 860.508.4630 to arrange a private showing.  Log onto the FVAC website for further details and join the other studio artists on every "First Saturday" of the month from 10 am to 4 pm.

Jim is also an active member of The Canton Artist's Guild and is currently exhibiting at the Gallery on the Green's 52nd Anniversary Show through the month of July.  Check out their website as well.  Enjoy the show!
