11/12/2018 - Veteran's Day Holiday Hours and Event
Canton Town offices and the Canton Public Library will be closed on Monday, November 12, 2018, in observance of Veteran's Day.
The Transfer Station will be open this week and next with a regular schedule of Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday 7am-3pm.
Please join us on Sunday, November 11, 2018, to mark the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I. In honor of this significant event, the Town of Canton will hold a ceremony to rededicate the Veteran’s Monument at the corner of River and Bridge Streets in Collinsville, which lists Canton residents who died in military service during World War I and other wars. In the past year, work has been performed on the monument by DPW staff to correct one name and also add one name to the roll of World War I dead. The ceremony will be held on Sunday, November 11th at 3:00 pm, at the monument. I hope many of you will be able to join us for this special opportunity to honor our veterans, especially those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our nation and the world.
