10/15/2017 - Hike – and dine – with the Land Trust!

Hike – and dine – with the Land Trust!

Hike the Swan Preserve Sun. Oct. 15:
Hike the lovely deciduous forest of the Canton Land Conservation Trust’s Swan Preserve at 1:30 p.m. with Land Trust Director Sarah Faulkner. Birds are plentiful here, so bring binoculars.
This is an easy-to-moderate difficulty, one-and-half hour hike. Wear sturdy walking shoes, and dress for the weather. Please leave dogs at home. In case of heavy rain, check www.cantonlandtrust.org.
From Rt. 179 north, turn onto Case Street. The Swan Preserve parking area is on the right in about 1/10th of a mile.

Order Flatbread pizza Tues. Oct. 17:
Dine there or order pizza to go from 5 to 9 pm at Flatbread Company in the Shoppes at Farmington Valley. A share of all pizza sales will go to the Land Trust, which preserves more than 2,000 acres in its natural state. See www.cantonlandtrust.org for more information.
