3/21/2017 - National Agriculture Day

The Conservation Commission of the Town of Canton would like to encourage all Canton residents to be aware of and celebrate National Agriculture Day on Tuesday, March 21, 2017.

Canton has a history of farming that spans over 200 years. This agricultural heritage adds to the high quality of life, scenic resources, and desirablilty of this Farmington Valley community. Canton recognizes the importance of encouraging farming enterprises and recently passed a Right to Farm ordinance that recognizes the right of farms to exist within the Town. Canton’s vibrant Farmer’s Market in the center of Collinsville on Sundays in summer and fall adds to the quality of life in the community, as do the open space, scenic resources, and local produce that agriculture offers residents and visitors alike.

Please join us in celebrating National Agriculture Day!
