Ben & Jerry’s Free Cone Day at The Shoppes at Farmington Valley

Ben & Jerry’s of Canton will be celebrating Free Cone Day on APRIL 12th (from NOON to 8PM) to thank their customers for their patronage, and to raise money and awareness in support of the Town of Canton Volunteer Fire & EMS Department.

Volunteer fire and EMS members will be scooping ice cream, giving fire truck and ambulance tours and providing information about opportunities in the fire & emergency medical services. Sparky the celebrity firedog will make appearances throughout the day.

Last year, Ben & Jerry’s of Canton distributed over 5,000 servings of their super premium ice cream during Free Cone Day. In return, customers were encouraged to make a donation to the Town of Canton Volunteer Fire & EMS Department.

In 2015, these donations totaled nearly $2,200.00. Since 2005, over $20,000.00 in donations have been raised for the Department through Ben & Jerry’s Free Cone Days.

100% of all donations are put towards training, equipment, retention and recruitment initiatives for Canton’s volunteer firefighters and EMTs.
