The Town of Canton is committed to the principle and practice of Fair Housing in the development and implementation of its housing related programs and policies. The Town is committed to upholding the State and Federal Fair Housing laws and supplements these laws by publicly endorsing the right of all people to full and equal housing opportunities in the neighborhood of their choice regardless of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, lawful source of income, familial status, national origin, ancestry, age or mental or physical disability. If an individual's act results in a person being denied the right to rent, lease or purchase a home, the individual may have committed unlawful discrimination.
