What is the mill rate?

The mill rate for the 2021 Grand List for real estate is $33.69 per $1,000 of assessment and $32.26 per $1,000 of assessed value for motor vehicles. The mill rate is adjusted annually based on the financial needs of the Town.

 

What is the assessment date?

The assessment date is October 1 of each year.

 

At what rate are properties assessed?

Properties are assessed at 70% of their fair market value as of the last revaluation.

 

Is sales/general information available on homes?

Yes, sales and other general information regarding real estate/parcel data can also be searched on our online database.

 

Are motor vehicles taxed?

Yes, the assessment is equal to 70% of the vehicle’s market value as reported by N.A.D.A. on October 1 of each year.
